This module is part of a series of three modules. It will support your leaders to get prepared for running a performance improvement meeting with step-by-step information about a formal performance improvement process.
A performance improvement process is used to help underperforming team members meet performance and behavioural expectations. When managed well, these processes provide a pathway and support for team members to improve, rather than having their employment terminated and the organisation having to recruit — which can be a costly process. Good communication when preparing for and running a performance improvement meeting is at the centre of a good process and can help turn difficult conversations about performance into empowering, mentoring opportunities.

- The steps of a formal PIP process
- What support is available when leading out a PIP process
- Hw to review progress of a PIP
- How to factor stress into the PIP process
- How to respond to bullying claims
