At the end of the day, it’s people that matter. No matter how great your business or team strategy is, the plan will fail without people who are engaged in their work and enthusiastic about the work they do. This all comes down to culture. The way people feel, act, are treated, and are led.
Culture develops over time as a result of the behaviours leaders reward and choose to tolerate. It is multi-layered, and most of it is invisible.
Remember, it’s not just up to leaders to set and reinforce expectations. Team members can be empowered to recognise the efforts of their team mates, and pull people up when there is an opportunity to improve behaviours and mindsets.
This team culture module introduces the three elements of culture — artifacts, values and assumptions. It has learners reflect on the culture of their organisation and gives them a chance to identify the behaviours and mindsets of their team and set some actions to keep everyone aligned.
