Description

This PIP training for leaders is part of a series of three modules. It will provide your leaders with information about their responsibilities in the performance improvement process, how they can expect to work with their team member, and what support they can get from an HR team.

A performance improvement process is used to help underperforming team members meet performance and behavioural expectations. When managed well, these processes provide a pathway and support for team members to improve, rather than having their employment terminated and the organisation having to recruit — which can be a costly process. Good communication is at the centre of a good process and can help turn difficult conversations about performance into empowering, mentoring opportunities.

This PIP training for leaders will help your people to determine:

  • What their responsibilities are
  • How HR can assist in the process
  • What the employee’s responsibilities are
  • What is required in a formal improvement process

Learning time: 10 — 15 minutes
