Smartwork Creative – the design studio which powers Skillpod – has won the NZATD award in BOTH the Blended Learning and Compliance categories!
This is a huge achievement and we are beyond proud of the e-learning we have created with our lovely clients, HEB Construction and Changing Minds.
The Blended Learning award is about recognising how multiple learning interventions can create a cohesive learning programme. For this category, we submitted the e-learning we created for Rākau Roroa (Tall Trees). This is an awesome blended learning initiative owned and delivered by Changing Minds which trains and supports people to use their personal experience of mental distress and recovery to inspire others. https://www.changingminds.org.nz/currentprojects/rakauroroa
Apart from the e-learning modules, the Rākau Roroa initiative includes supporting resources, 1 to 1 discussions and face to face group sessions. This is hugely important training, and we made sure that everything we created reflected principles of gentleness, inclusivity and support. The end result is quite beautiful.
We also won the Compliance award for site-safety e-learning we created with HEB construction. The 5-Whys module ensures that all HEB employees involved in an on-site incident have an opportunity to analyse the root cause of the incident and take swift and appropriate action. The module also ensures that HEB employees implement learnings from the incident quickly where appropriate. The end result is a great piece of interactive e-learning which engages people in safety training through authentic scenarios and tasks.
